NAFCM Opens Nominations for the 2017 NAFCM & Society of Emotional Intelligence Podcast Opportunity. This initial opening will close on Monday January 9,2017.

In partnership with the Society of Emotional Intelligence (SoEI), NAFCM will be providing members an opportunity to talk about their work, in their communities. The podcast, named Let’s Talk EI and hosted by Dr. Hank Clemons, provides an open forum to discuss emotional intelligence and related topics, including community mediation. Our hope is that you will use this platform to tell your story. These podcasts are recorded and hosted online for anyone to stream, meaning that after taking part in this opportunity and sharing your voice with a national audience, you will have a link to send on all your social media platforms as well as to use in correspondence with supporters and champions.

To nominate yourself for consideration you need to complete a very brief consideration form. You may access this form by clicking here.

We have nine hallmarks that guide our work. One of these is to initiate, facilitate and educate for collaborative community relationships that bring about positive systemic change. Change happens when we write our own narrative, when we make theory and thought real for others. Your experience, your story, needs to be heard and this platform provides you with that opportunity. Listen to Angelia Tolbert, Executive Director of the Arkansas Community Dispute Resolution Center and member of NAFCM. You can listen to her podcast by clicking here.

Another of our hallmarks is to engage in public awareness and educational activities about the values and practices of mediation. If we want to facilitate healing, hold space to address concerns of unintended ceilings, then we need to continue to let others know of the gift of community mediation. Listen to Renata Valree of Ambassadors of Peace and a member of the NAFCM Board of Directors. You can listen to her podcast by clicking here.

The Let’s Talk EI NAFCM & SoEI collaboration podcast is originally broadcast on the final Monday of each month at Noon Eastern Time / 9:00 AM Pacific Time. The next podcast is set for December 26th and will feature the Jefferson County Mediation Services in Colorado, represented by Joel Bogen. You can listen in by clicking here, and you can call in with questions and comments by dialing (929) 477-1423.

NAFCM would like for you to have this opportunity as well. To nominate yourself for consideration you need to complete a very brief consideration form. You may access this form by clicking here.

Self-nominations for this initial opening will close on Monday January 9,2017.

We look forward to hearing from you!
